MUN
The Model United Nations (MUN) Club at Glenmora High School is a great place for students interested in global issues and diplomacy. In this club, members get to act as delegates from different countries, tackling real-world problems through discussions and debates. The MUN Club emphasizes teamwork and leadership, allowing students to learn how to represent their countries effectively. It's a fantastic way to become more aware of international relations and the importance of working together.
As we prepare for the conference, our members take on the role of delegates, researching an assigned country and topic. Students write an essay on their given country and prepare a presentation for the group. This preperation allows them to understand different viewpoints and collaborate with others to propose solutions to complex problems. It's a great way for students to develop skills in public speaking, critical thinking and teamwork.
This year, members had the opportunity to attend the MUN conference in San Antonio, Texas. During this event students represented countries and participated in debates on various important issues.
Students worked alongside peers from other schools to find common ground and develop strategies to solve problems affecting our world today.
